The Petroleum (Environmental) Regulations 2016 were amended so that from 11 June 2019 the Minister for Environment and Natural Resources cannot approve an environment management plan unless an Authority Certificate under the Northern Territory Aboriginal Sacred Sites Act 1989 is included.
