Recommendation 11.2 of the Inquiry requires the Authority to gain an understanding of and comment on the proposed Hydraulic Fracturing activities, consult custodians on the proposals and provide comments to the relevant decision maker.

This will take place in connection with Environment Management Plans (EMP) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS). Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority and the Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security  continue to monitor and work on processes with regular reviews to ensure appropriate outcomes are achieved.
