That the Government works with gas companies and local suppliers (regional and Territory wide) to identify immediate supply opportunities and to facilitate future potential supply opportunities. This should be done in consultation with the ICN-NT and the Chamber of Commerce.

Implementation progress
Implementation of the Gas Service and Supply Plan that was launched on 5 March 2020 to increase local participation in the onshore and offshore gas industries.
Onshore Gas Supply Chain Working Group established to coordinate industry efforts to maximise regional benefits and local opportunities. Members include NT Government, Santos, Origin Energy, Armour Energy, Empire Energy, Tamboran Resources, Central Petroleum, Australian Petroleum and Production Exploration Association (APPEA) and ICN NT.

- Aboriginal Business Capability in the Beetaloo Corridor published by ICN NT in May 2020
- NT Onshore Gas Support Industry – Statement of Capacity published by ICN NT in March 2020
Other government and industry initiatives being implemented:
- Ongoing government and industry consultation with ICN NT and the CCNT.
- Industry-led liaison meetings, town briefings and community consultation.
- Juno Jobs – pathways to apprenticeships and traineeships; working model developed for community consultation as a pilot program specific to the Barkly region.
- Ongoing government engagement with industry around supply opportunities.
- NT Indigenous Business Network engaged to facilitate opportunities for Indigenous businesses.
- Ongoing government engagement with industry to understand requirements, expectations and skills. This information will form the next level of detailed engagement with regional businesses and stakeholders.
