Implementation
The Petroleum Act 1984 was amended in March 2019 to enable open standing for persons to seek judicial review of decisions within the Petroleum Act 1984 and Petroleum (Environment) Regulations 2016, as outlined in the legislation. The changes to the legislation came into effect in April 2019.
