The Environment Protection Legislation Amendment (Chain of Responsibility) Bill was introduced into the Legislative Assembly on 12 October 2022 and was passed in November 2022.
Amendments to the Environment Protection Act 2019 will establish a chain of responsibility laws framework applying to the petroleum industry.
