Implementation
The Northern Territory Government has introduced an annual interim water regulatory charge for onshore gas activities of $3,000 in 2023 and 2024.
The Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security has now commenced development of a water extraction charging framework for all licenced users for staged implementation in 2024 and 2025.
