ICN Northern Territory

The Industry Capability Network (ICN) is a business network that introduces local companies to the supply chains of major projects, large or small. ICN works with procurement and project managers to help identify capable suppliers and service providers, whilst at the same time, opening up new opportunities to local suppliers in projects both here and overseas.

The ICN database currently holds detailed company capability information on approximately 3,800 businesses across the Territory. Historically ICN’s objective has been to engage with a project proponent to feed NT business capability on a ‘package by package’ basis, via ICN Gateway.

The primary objective for ICN is to be involved in projects, especially projects in the onshore oil and gas sector, at the earliest stage possible, to enhance the project proponent’s ability to plan their works more accurately and increase consideration of local capability.

Following the announcement on the 17 April 2018 that the Northern Territory Chief Minister has lifted the moratorium on hydraulic fracturing of onshore gas, ICN sees this as a critical time to utilise its powerful database to analyse the capability of local businesses against the requirements of the onshore gas industry.

If you are a project proponent, ICN can put you in contact with the best suppliers. If you are a supplier, ICN can connect you with projects planned or underway throughout the Territory.
